Hello all,

I'm having a bit of trouble to setup my eserv to allow people to go fetch their hotmail with outlook express 6. Here is the message that is given:

Error on socket 12019, error number 0x80004005

Should I map a tcp port like this

12019 services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp 12019 ?

Second part of question, How do i need to setup options to let people get e-mail from other pop servers that are on the web?

Pop: pop.videotron.ca smtp: relais.videotron.ca

I tried a couple of things, but to no avail.
Thank you in advance, keep up the good work
Mike B.

No. See HTTP log for more details. Probably, there is an incompatibility between Eserv and Microsoft's proprietary (non-standard) extensions of HTTP.

Do the TCPMAPs really not operate? Please describe tested settings.

Here is what I tried to do (All those things are new to me, sorry )

tcpmap: 3110 pop.videotron.ca 110

And set client to log on to port 3110 on pop settings.

Is that the way to go?

Yes, it's right way. Probably, you didn't change the server name in your mail client's settings? It must connect to the port 3110 of Eserv.

I'm trying to foolow this for yahoo (pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk for POP3). I am using Microsoft Outlook as my mail client. I usually set the server as 192.168.0.1, being the IP address of the PC with Eserv. Do i have to change this in any way, or just the POPЈ port number on the Advanced tab. Either way, I do not seem to be able to get this to work.

On the Advanced tab, you should enter the port number that you're currently TCPMAPping to the port 110 of the pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
